Solar Car

Intro
Cars are cool. Electric cars are better. Electric cars that I don't have to charge are mind-blowing. Electric cars that I don't have to charge that can drive themselves-- now that's an upcoming project...shh

Problem/Inspiration
I was itching to do something big in high school. Let's start a club to build a solar car you designed! The original plan was to build a solar car to compete in the High School Solar Car Challenge in Texas. The plan was simple:
1. Model the frame.
2. Design the electrical system.
3. Form a team of 20 people, teach them how to weld, and find a garage to build this monstrosity.
4. Spend a whole lotta money.
5. Go whooooooooooshhhhhhh.

Note how "let's all go home and participate in Zoom school for two years" was not part of the plan. Unfortunately, I graduated before the car was completely finished, but even in its current condition, it's still ridiculously fun to drive.

Nevertheless, there's way too much to say about this project, so I'm going to do something different this time. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll give you lots of pictures. If you still have questions, just ask me *wink wink*.
Here's some more pictures.

Remarks
Oh yea, keep on the lookout for a solar powered autonomous golf cart (college project 2023-24). It's gonna be epic!
